This documentary tells the incredible story of a group of inmates in Michigan who, through the Calvin Prison Initiative, seek a college education while incarcerated. It highlights the resilience and determination of men who have been incarcerated for decades, many of whom are serving life sentences. Despite the barriers of class, race, age, and religion, they find ways to overcome their differences and build a strong community within an institution once known as "Gladiator School."
